Classes

For those of you living in New York's Hudson Valley, I offer one-on-one drawing and painting classes.  I work with students of all ages and ability levels.  Classes are once a week and schedules are flexible.  I live and teach in Monroe, NY.  However, if you are unable to make it to Monroe, I can come to you.  Classes are $30 per hour.  Please contact me for more information.

Watercolor Painting
Beginners:  Learn the basic techniques of watercolor painting including wet in wet, wet edge and layering and how to work with this tricky medium.
Experienced:  Personalized lessons geared to your individual needs, such as refining the palette and incorporating secondary colors.

Figures, Landscapes, Cityscapes, Wildlife

Oil Painting
Beginner:  Learn how to handle oil paint and build color and value.
Experienced:  Lessons are based around your needs and will focus on improving the artistic and emotional quality of your work.

Portraits, Landscapes, Cityscapes, Figures, Wildlife

Drawing
Beginner:  Learn the basics of light and shadow and perspective.  Learn to use different mediums while practicing the basic artistic drawing skills.
Experienced:  Study advanced concepts and techniques such as three point  and two point vertical perspective.  Learn to control light in your drawings.
